A Hollywood Smile is a full smile makeover that changes the colour, shape, length and alignment of the teeth you show when you smile. It is not a single product but a treatment plan, usually built from veneers, crowns or a combination of both.
The plan starts with Digital Smile Design. Your dentist photographs and scans your teeth, then designs a new smile that suits your face, lips and gum line. You see and approve the design before any tooth is prepared.

How the procedure is done
Treatment usually takes about 7 to 10 days in Istanbul. On the first day you have an examination, a panoramic X-ray and your Digital Smile Design consultation. Any gum disease or decay is treated first.
Next, the teeth are gently prepared under local anaesthesia and digital or traditional impressions are taken. You wear temporary teeth while the laboratory makes your final restorations. At the final appointment the dentist checks the fit, colour and bite, then bonds them in place.

Recovery and results
Most patients return to normal routines the next day. Mild sensitivity to hot and cold is common for one to two weeks and usually settles on its own.
With daily brushing, flossing and regular check-ups, veneers and crowns typically last 10 to 15 years. A night guard is often advised if you grind your teeth.

Risks and safety
A Hollywood Smile involves removing some natural tooth structure, so it is not fully reversible. Possible issues include temporary sensitivity, gum irritation, a chipped or loose restoration, and, rarely, the need for root canal treatment on a prepared tooth.

Is the result reversible?
No, because some enamel is removed when the teeth are prepared. The restorations can be replaced in future, but the teeth will always need some form of covering.
