What's included

Our travel team searches for flights that fit your treatment dates, recovery time and budget, and books them for you if you wish. Flights are not part of standard treatment packages, so the cost of the ticket is separate.

We can look at routes from many cities with airlines such as Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, Lufthansa and Emirates, depending on where you are travelling from. You can also book your own flight and simply send us the details.

Booking flights through the same team that plans your treatment means changes are easier to manage. If your doctor advises you to stay a day longer, we can look at changing your ticket and extend your hotel and transfer bookings at the same time.

  • Flight search matched to your treatment dates
  • Booking on request through our travel division
  • Advice on the best arrival and departure days
  • Flight details passed to your transfer driver

How it works step by step

Flight planning starts once your treatment date is agreed, because the right return date depends on your procedure. Your hotel, VIP transfer and medical interpreter are arranged before you land.

Fares and seat availability change quickly, so the earlier you confirm your treatment date, the more options we can usually find. Airline rules on changes and cancellations apply to every ticket, and we explain these before you confirm.

  • Agree your treatment date with your coordinator
  • Tell us your departure city and preferred dates
  • Receive flight options with times and fares
  • Confirm and receive your e-ticket
  • Your driver and hotel are updated automatically
  • Change requests go through the same team

For companions

We can book your companion on the same flight so you travel together. This is especially helpful on the way home, when you may still be tired or have dressings and need help with bags.

If your companion is flying from a different city, we can look at options that land close to your arrival time so one transfer can collect you both.

Where possible, we suggest seats together and remind you about the airline's rules on assistance. If you will need a wheelchair at the airport after surgery, tell us in advance so it can be requested with the airline.

Why it matters for recovery

Choosing the right flight dates matters because flying too soon after some treatments can be uncomfortable or unsafe. Your doctor advises the earliest safe return date, and we use that when planning your ticket.

Some procedures need a few days before flying, while others, such as obesity surgery or larger body operations, need around a week or more. Arriving a day before treatment also gives time for tests and rest. For longer flights after surgery, an aisle seat, compression stockings and regular walks are usually recommended.

Your coordinator also checks that your flight times leave enough margin before your first appointment and after your final check-up, so you are not rushing on either end of the trip.
